Natural remedies for low blood pressure
Hypotension or low blood pressure can cause dizziness, vomiting and fainting.
In extreme cases, it may be life-threatening.
There are many reasons for hypotension including malnutrition, dehydration, certain medications, heart problems, endocrine problems etc.
Here are some home remedies to treat low blood pressure:

- Drinking water can help treat low blood pressure caused due to dehydration. Consuming fruits like watermelons and oranges will also help in treating hypotension.
- Black coffee helps increase blood pressure immediately. Drink half a cup of coffee if you feel dizzy.
- Beetroot juice is another home remedy which effectively treats low blood pressure.
- Pomegranate juice also improves your blood pressure level. You can either eat the fruit or drink the juice.
- Being rich in potassium, raisins help increase low blood pressure level.
- Salt or salty foods also raise your blood pressure levels. Drink salt water by making it with ½ spoon of salt in a glass of water to treat low blood pressure.
- Honey is another natural remedy to treat hypotension. It cures your dizziness immediately. You can either directly consume it or mix two tablespoons of honey in a glass of water with a pinch of salt and drink it.
- Basil leaves are an herbal remedy for low blood pressure. Crush the leaves and strain the juice. Add one teaspoon of honey to it and consume it daily in the morning on an empty stomach.
- Almond milk is one of the effective natural remedies to treat low blood pressure level in the body.
- Liquorice root is another useful home remedy for hypotension.
