  • Have small meals every three or four hours to improve your metabolism. This helps burn more calories. Choose smaller plates to consume a fewer quantity of meal. Several studies revealed that people tend to eat 30% more if the food is served in large plates.
  • Eat slowly for better digestion and greater satiety. Chewing more promotes easy digestion. It also increases the feeling of satisfaction. Hence, you eat less meal and control weight gain.
  • Reduce saturated fats that increase the risk of coronary artery diseases. Avoid eating butter, biscuits etc.
  • Lower your sodium intake to prevent the risk of high blood pressure which can lead to heart diseases or strokes. Avoid chips and packed foods that have more salt.
  • Consume whole-grain foods like brown rice, oats, quinoa, whole wheat etc. They help you feel full for a longer time and thus can manage weight.
  • Drink more water to keep your body hydrated for a long-time. Deficiency of water leads to several health problems.
  • Consume more proteins to get a feeling of fullness for longer times. Also, eat more vegetables and fruits.
