Home remedies for hair fall due to Seborrheic Dermatitis

Seborrheic Dermatitis is a skin disorder which can lead to itching, scaling and flaking on some parts of the body including the scalp, face, back and groin.

Seborrheic Dermatitis increases oil production on the scalp which leads to hair fall.

Here are some home remedies to prevent hair fall due to Seborrheic Dermatitis:

  • Cucumber cools the scalp while curd exfoliates it by nourishing and providing relief from itching. So, apply the mixture made with cucumber slice paste and curd on the scalp and wait for half an hour. Then rinse your hair with a mild shampoo.
  • Lemon cleanses the scalp and promotes healthy hair growth. Hence, apply lemon juice on affected areas with a cotton swab and wait for a few minutes. Then rinse it off with lukewarm water.
  • Aloe vera is a moisturizing agent while green tea helps rejuvenate the scalp to prevent hair loss. Gently massage your scalp with the mixture of aloe vera gel and green tea for a few minutes. Wait for 15 minutes and wash your hair with cold water.
  • Garlic has antifungal properties and coconut oil promotes hair growth. So, massage your scalp with the mixture made with coconut oil and the paste of garlic cloves. It is one of the best natural remedies for hair loss caused by Seborrheic Dermatitis.
  • Both neem and turmeric have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Sesame oil improves blood circulation and thus promotes hair growth. So, apply the mixture on the scalp made with neem leaves paste, turmeric powder and sesame oil and wait for a few minutes. Then rinse your hair with a mild shampoo.
  • Besan is a good cleansing agent. The mixture made with besan and curd is another home remedy which works well for the hair fall.
  • Apply the paste made with baking soda on your scalp and rinse it off after 5 minutes with lukewarm water. It prevents bacterial infections on your scalp.
