Health Benefits of Lemon peel
Lemon has many health benefits. It is quite common for many people to discard peel after drinking the juice of a lemon.
However, several studies state that citrus peels contain the maximum amount of flavonoids and polymethoxylated flavones.
Another study shows that lemon peels have a significant amount of antioxidants. They also have numerous vitamins and minerals.
You can add lemons peels to soups, dressings and marinades. Or add salt and pepper to it and make the home-made seasoning.
You can make a hot tea or cocktail by adding it to them. Or grate the peel and add it to your food as dressing.
You can make candied lemon peels with sugar and water. Add sliced lemon peels to the boiled water. Strain the water and boil again. Repeat the process a couple of times.
