₹10,000 Cash prize for Aadhaar authenticated users
IRCTC is aiming to attract passengers. Several facilities have been provided to them. In addition to that, Indian Railways wants to make them aware of various government’s programs and improve their participation in them.
Earlier in the month of October last year, IRCTC announced a monthly lucky draw scheme for their passengers who book their tickets using BHIM or UPI payment options.
Under this scheme, the lucky winners would get their full fare refunded. In this way, it wants to promote the use of these apps.
Now, IRCTC announced monthly lucky draw scheme.
Under this new lucky draw scheme, the winners will get ₹10,000 cash prize in addition to a refund of full train fare.
The scheme was started from December 1, 2017 and will continue till June, 2018 for six months.
The main criteria to participate in this scheme is that passengers will have to pre-verify themselves. This can be done by linking their Aadhaar card number with their registered user ID on IRCTC.
Another thing is that their journey should be in the prescribed calendar months and at least one ticket should be booked by them.
Only Aadhaar authenticated users are eligible for this monthly lucky draw scheme. Their profile name should be matched with anyone of the passenger names of the booked ticket.
Each month 5 lucky winners will be selected randomly. Any user can have the chance of getting a prize only once in that particular month.
If anybody is selected for more than once in a given month, only one PNR will be considered for awarding prize. Another user will be selected for the other prize.
The list of selected lucky draw winners will be displayed on IRCTC website in the first week of the following month. Furthermore, they will be informed on their mobile numbers and email IDs.
