WhatsApp’s new features to improve your chatting experience
As part of improving user-experience, WhatsApp has been updating its features. The Facebook-owned messaging app recently unveiled animated stickers for both Android and iOS users.
WhatsApp has brought some new features for their users and is going to bring some interesting features soon.
Here is a list of few of them:
Multi-device support
Currently, WhatsApp users can log into desktop and mobile phone. However, with the coming multi-device support feature, users can log into multiple devices at a time. The developers are working on syncing the chat history, star messages and archive chats on different devices.
Up to 50 Members Video Chat
Like Google Meet and Zoom, WhatsApp is going to bring a room integration feature which allows you to chat with up to 50 people in a single video call. You can also create a group and invite others from WhatsApp Web.
Setting expiry for messages
WhatsApp messages from different users consume storage space. It is time-consuming to you delete every message. WhatsApp team is working on the expiring message feature which allows you to delete the messages after seven days. You have to activate your settings and set a time limit for your chats for this.
New Emojis
WhatsApp recently rolled out 138 new emojis in the latest Android beta version of the app.
Permanent Mute
Currently, you can mute the notifications for a maximum of one year. But, Permanent Mute feature allows users to mute notifications of the group forever.
Select Participants for Group Video Chat
You can choose the participants to join a group video call of up to 8 individuals. Not everyone in the group is essential to join the video call. Besides, you can press and hold the participant’s video to focus on a participant of your choice.
Advanced Search Mode
Users can easily search for pictures, videos, documents, and many more with this feature.
Dark Mode on WhatsApp Web
WhatsApp is going to roll out dark mode feature for desktop users also.
