This Homemaker used Ayurveda to Heal Her Family and Build an Empire | Fusion - WeRIndia

Aparna Mishra, a homemaker from a small village in Bihar, completely transformed her life and became a beacon of hope for others.

In 2008, her family’s life was turned upside down when her husband lost his job during the economic recession. Shortly after, her eldest daughter fell seriously ill, and with no income, they were forced to sell their property to pay for treatment.

Facing immense financial and emotional strain, Aparna reached a breaking point. But an Ayurvedic doctor in her neighborhood suggested an alternative route: try natural, traditional remedies.

With no money for expensive treatments, she learned how to make Ayurvedic chyavanprash, an immunity-boosting paste, and began giving it to her daughter. When she saw the positive results, an idea sparked.

With only Rs 1,000, Aparna started making chyavanprash in her kitchen and offering it to friends and family who came to visit. People loved it, noticing the unique taste compared to store-bought brands.

Soon, demand grew beyond her home, and orders started pouring in from her community and beyond. Even without big advertising, her product gained popularity by word of mouth.

Her small venture turned into a thriving business, now reaching customers across India and internationally, bringing in an annual income of over Rs 25 lakh.

Today, she employs 15 women, providing them with a steady income and a chance to support their own families. Aparna often says, “Poverty breeds success,” reflecting on how hardship pushed her to create something meaningful.

Through resilience and a simple idea, Aparna not only lifted her family out of crisis but built a life-changing business for herself and others.
