Kurta Ghar: A modern revival of Rajasthani craftsmanship
Indian ethnic wear continues to enchant fashion enthusiasts with its intricate craftsmanship and cultural depth.
Traditional attire like kurtas and suits showcases India’s diverse heritage while adapting to contemporary fashion trends.
Kurta Ghar, a Jaipur-based brand, is redefining ethnic wear by blending age-old artistry with modern sensibilities.
Kurta Ghar is the brainchild of Sidhi, a former IT professional who transformed her artistic passion into a thriving business.
With a seven-year career in IT sales, she decided to pursue her deep-rooted love for colours and design.
An experienced watercolour artist, Sidhi often drew inspiration from traditional coffee and watercolour techniques, which eventually influenced her venture into handcrafted ethnic wear.
At 31, she founded Kurta Ghar in January 2022 with a modest ₹7,000 investment.
She noticed a strong demand for authentic Rajasthani designs in metropolitan areas like Mumbai and Indore, leading her to establish a brand that highlights the beauty of handcrafted textiles.
Kurta Ghar is a brand dedicated to preserving and showcasing Rajasthan’s rich textile heritage through exquisitely crafted unstitched suits.
The brand partners directly with artisans who specialize in intricate Gota Patti and Zardozi embroidery, ensuring that each piece embodies the region’s artistry while remaining accessible and affordable.
The collection stands out for its vibrant colour palettes and exceptional attention to detail, giving the garments a distinct presence in a crowded market.
What began as a modest venture in 2022 with just 15 orders a month has rapidly transformed.
Today, Kurta Ghar fulfills over 300 orders every month and boasts a loyal global customer base of over 10,000 clients, establishing itself as a trusted name in ethnic fashion.
Sidhi, the visionary behind Kurta Ghar, envisions transforming the brand into a household name across India.
While the brand has earned recognition internationally, Sidhi is determined to strengthen its presence in Jaipur and expand to other key cities in India.
Her long-term goal is to bring the timeless craftsmanship of Rajasthan to a wider audience, ensuring that traditional embroidery continues to thrive in contemporary wardrobes.
