WhatsApp introduces Payments Background feature
WhatsApp is one of the most widely used social media platforms in India. The company has been adding several new features to this platform for users.
Now, WhatsApp introduced a Payments Background feature for its users in India to offer a personalized experience for both the sender and recipient. This feature is available on both Android and iOS platforms.
With this feature, users can select a relevant background while sending money to a family member or friend on special occasions like birthdays.
WhatsApp introduced its UPI-based payments platform in November last year. Now, the social media platform rolled out an update to this feature to create a more personalized experience.
The intention behind adding a background to this feature is to create a personal feeling. Users can express their emotions through themes and indicate their affection, care, fun and many more. Thus sending of payment remains more interesting, and it will no longer be a mere transaction.
Different backgrounds are available to be used for various occasions like birthdays and holidays, and special occasions. Users can select from the list as per the occasion.
WhatsApp says that it will create more such features in future also to provide an interactive experience to users.
The payment feature of WhatsApp supports more than 227 banks with a real-time payment system.
Here is a step-by-step guide for using the payments background feature:
- To send money, open the chat window. Tap on the Plus icon in the bottom left corner.
- Then tap on the Payments option and enter the amount you want to send.
- Select your desired background from the list of backgrounds that appeared at the bottom of the screen.
- Add a note of description or reason for your payment. Then click on the Send button.
The recipient can see your message, the amount you sent and the background.
