Wakefit offers nap breaks for employees
              To promote the well-being of its employees, Wakefit took a novel initiative. The company recently announced a nap break for its employees between 2 pm to 2:30 pm.
Wakefit has more than 650 employees. It announced a right to nap policy for its employees, saying that afternoon naps improve productivity and motivation in employees. It is the first company that offered such a landmark policy.
The company announced a nap break in the afternoon in an official statement. It announced 2 pm to 2:30 pm as the official nap time. The company said that this time would be marked as the official nap time for employees from now.
Wakefit said that research showed that afternoon naps helped improve concentration, productivity and performance of employees. Hence, it decided to take the initiative for the well-being of its employees.
This announcement of Wakefit was welcomed not just by its employees but by others as well. They all appreciated it.
In another incident, a Tamil Nadu IT company offered innovative perks for its employees to retain them. Sri Mookambika Infosolutions from Madurai, Tamil Nadu, offered a free matchmaking service to its employees and a salary hike for those who got married.
Sri Mookambika Infosolutions has nearly 750 employees. Around half of them have been working with the company for more than five years.
In this context, the company thought innovatively to retain its employees and offered marriage incentives to its employees.
It started offering special increments to employees who got married since its inception. In addition to that, it recently launched a matchmaking service for free.
The company provides in-house training to the employee for better performance. To retain its employees for a long-time, the company started offering unique incentives.
The founder of the company said that most of the employees treat him like a brother, and he wished to look after their well-being like a brother. Hence, they started offering free matchmaking services to them.
