Volunteer demands AAP logo back after blue WagonR
A supporter of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has claimed ownership of the party’s logo and demanded it back after the famous blue WagonR car which was once the preferred vehicle of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Sunit Lal, a party volunteer who is claiming to have designed the AAP logo wants the party to stop using the logo in any form of branding including on stationery, website, handbills, flags, posters etc.
He states that the logo which he had designed for AAP is his intellectual property and the ownership of which, he states, has never been transferred to the party.
Hence, the use of same should be stopped with immediate effect, Lal added in a letter he wrote to party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal.
Furthermore, Lal has even asked the party to accept his resignation as the primary member. He stated that the reason for this is that the party has hurt the sentiments of people and failed to meet their expectations.
A few days ago, Kundan Sharma, a software engineer who donated the blue WagonR to Kejriwal in January 2013 has demanded the car to be returned.
Later Sharma has clarified that he did not want the car or money back but made the demand to get the attention of Kejriwal and other top leaders of AAP.
