Uri attackers won’t go unpunished: PM
The terror attack in Uri on September 18 resulted in 17 soldiers martyred. The army announced that operations to find the perpetrators are already underway. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked about the attack and called it a coward attack.
Condemning the terror on an Army camp in Uri, he announced that those who were behind this despicable attack won’t go unpunished. Talking about the soldiers who lost their lives, he said that all of the soldiers who were martyred in the attack deserve a salute and more. He said that the service of their soldiers will always be remembered by the nation.
Narendra Modi tweeted about him saluting the soldiers who lost their lives. He said that his thoughts would be present with the mourning families.
Modi tweeted about punishment will be bought the terrorists who attack the army camp. He assured the nation that it won’t go unpunished.
Regarding the attack, Modi said he already spoke to Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar. They discussed the current situation regarding the terror attack and what to do next. Modi said that after speaking to the HM and the RM regarding the situation, the RM will go to Jammu and Kashmir himself to take charge of the situation. Now Parrikar is going to Kashmir to take charge and plan the next move.
The attack on the army based happened in the early hours of the day. It was a surprise attack from heavily armed militants. The terrorists stormed a battalion headquarters of the Army in North Kashmir’s Uri town. Due to this terror attack, 17 jawans were killed and 19 other personnel were injured. Indian soldiers still managed to take down four ultras in the attack. The army already started searches for the perpetrators as well. Parrikar is expected to take charge of the situation.
