Sachin Tendulkar joins Swachh Bharat Campaign
Sachin Tendulkar joins the Swachh Bharat campaign after he has been nominated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as one of the nine celebrities and ‘ambassadors’ for this mission. Modi wished to spread awareness on cleanliness for the Swachh Bharat mission that was commenced on October 2 on the 145th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi by these celebrities.
Sachin Tendulkar accepted this nomination by sweeping a road in Mumbai. He said that he had received the leadership role and his team (he and his friends) would join their hands to keep India as clean as possible. He also extended that it was the starting and they will move forward by doing better work wholeheartedly.
