Here are some ways to protect yourself from receiving spam calls and messages:
It is best to avoid answering calls from international numbers you do not recognize. This is because such types of calls may put you at risk of scams or fraud.
Not only calls but messages may also be scams. Messages that offer financial benefits like a prize or a lottery are probably a scam.
Refrain from responding to such messages. Also, report them to WhatsApp if necessary.
Additionally, if you receive several calls from the same international number, it is a good idea to block the number.
If you suspect an international number is linked with fraud, spam, or other malicious activity, report the specific number to WhatsApp.
Enable two-factor authentication to protect your WhatsApp account from unauthorized access. It will require a verification code to be entered in addition to your password while logging into your account.
