Kangana Ranaut’s new girl fight campaign
Girls have forever been socially conditioned to not fight. Whenever they are vocally abused or harassed, they have been told to just ignore it, and not to fight back.
They must simply stay silent and ignore what is happening, hoping that it will soon pass.
Not only does this occur in situations where passerby women are heckled by men bearing down on them, but this stereotype also crops up in arguments at home, disputes on the playground, debates in classrooms, and discussions in conference rooms.
However, in this day and age, that stereotype is coming into question more and more, and girls are realizing that they can fight back just as much as boys can.
Reebok has begun a new campaign called “FitToFight”, which speaks about the ability of girls to fight back and be strong.
The campaign is focused on unleashing the fighter inside all Indian women.
FitToFight aims to destroy the “Girls don’t fight” stereotype and to show that girls do fight.
The campaign features Kangana Ranaut, who encourages girls to fight back, even if they have never done it before.
Bringing out the fighter inside will allow women to not be afraid of any situation, and therefore, to have full control over their lives.
Thus, all women are encouraged to look inside themselves for that inner fighter. The next time a challenging situation comes up, do not simply back down and be silent, but fight back and let your voice be heard; find that inner fighter and bring it out.
The voice in the minds of many girls which tells them to back away can now be replaced by a voice telling them to stand firm and be strong. Now, the stereotype that girls don’t fight will soon be replaced with the definite knowledge that girls do fight.
