Donate your old clothes to the needy
Normally, many households have several used and old clothes. They don’t know to whom they shall give or donate them.
Here are some organizations that make sure your given clothes reach to the needy people:
Clothes Box Foundation is operating in Haryana, Maharashtra, Odisha and Jharkhand. You can call the foundation or leave a message on their Facebook page after keeping the clothes you wish to donate. They charge a nominal amount to collect the clothes. You can also deliver clothes to their collection centres. The organization posts the photos on their FB page after distributing the clothes.
Share At Door Steps (SADS) is located in Bengaluru. It has more than 100 NGO partners in eight cities across the country. Visit their website and check your location there. If you find your location, then schedule a pickup.
Apang Manav Mandal (AMM) is located in Ahmedabad. This organization distributes clothes to people aged between 7 and 25. Call them if you wish to donate clothes.
Mahesh Foundation is situated in Belgaum. The NGO is working for the welfare of children and youth who have been impacted by HIV/AIDS. It has an orphanage for them. You can donate curtains and bedsheets in addition to clothes.
The Open House is located in Chennai. You can call them if you wish to donate clothes.
Prayas is situated in Hyderabad. They accept clothes to people aged above 12 years. They also accept reusable household items as donations. You can call them or send an email to them.
Clothes for Help is operating in Kolkata and Pune. They can collect clothes from donors within the radius of 7 kilometres from their contact address. You can call to schedule a pickup. Otherwise, you can deliver your old clothes.
But, do not donate the clothes that are in bad condition. Donate clothes that are in good condition to be used by recipients.
