Blood donation saves the lives of people, especially in need of hour like accidents. Blood donors can save the lives of people suffering from thalassemia and haemophilia. However, still, a majority of people do not show interest in donating blood, despite its benefits to both donors and recipients.

To encourage more people towards blood donation, Samadhan Sarvankar initiated a unique blood donation camp in Mumbai.

Samadhan Sarvankar is the son of Sada Sarvankar, one of the senior leaders of Shiv Sena. He will be organizing a blood donation camp on December 13 in association with KEM hospital.

In this context, Samadhan Sarvankar said that to encourage more people to donate blood and make the camp unique, he announced giving chicken or paneer to donors for their blood donation. He believes that it will make them feel happy as a token of appreciation. He said that it would encourage people to come forward for blood donation during the present COVID situation.

He explained the reason for choosing chicken or paneer to give the donors saying that he read on the website of WHO that poultry and dairy products are rich in proteins and vitamins. Moreover, they are immunity boosters. Hence, he decided to give them to all donors as per their preference.

The blood donation camp will be organized at the Rajabhau Salvi Ground in Mumbai from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
