Janata Curfew tomorrow

While addressing the nation on the outbreak of coronavirus on March 19, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a Janata Curfew on Sunday, i.e. tomorrow.

Janata Curfew is a curfew of the people, by the people and for the people to control the spreading of the deadly coronavirus.

The Janata Curfew will be in place for 14 hours starting from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. tomorrow.

PM Modi asked all people to stay off the roads and public places during the specific period. He urged people to stay at home only.

Yet, all essential services like healthcare, police, media and others that serve will function normally as they do not come under the purview of the curfew.

He asked citizens to share the information of Janata Curfew to at least 10 people so that all people across the country might be aware of it and follow it.

This step is taken as a measure to fight against COVID-19 with solidarity. Several countries that have a fewer population are affected severely by the coronavirus.

In a country like India where the density of population is very high, it is not possible for the government to control the situation without the cooperation of the public.

If the situation is not controlled properly at this stage, the virus may spread exponentially which cannot be imaginable, and loss might be huge. In this context, everyone should have to follow the advice of the government and avoid unnecessary travel and gatherings.

PM Modi also appealed the nation to encourage and salute all the people working for the country in the time of need by clapping and ringing their bells for five minutes from their doorways, balconies and windows at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow.
