Google set to promote digital literacy in Haryana
Google, the Search engine giant has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Haryana government in order to promote digital literacy in the state. In order to cover about internet safety in government schools, Google will do a digital literacy drive. They will also do a similar exercise for government officials.
Regarding this matter the MoU was signed in Silicon Valley in the presence of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. Khattar is leading a high level delegation tour to the US and Canada to get more investments for his state. He stated this move gives a good push in their aim to digitize Haryana and also increase his work.
Chetan Krishnaswamy, Google India’s policy country head has stated that their initiative will help get rich dividends for the sates and also help its citizens to understand internet better. He added that Google is delighted about their help to government in digitizing Haryana with state wide digital literacy.
Another MoU with Applied Materials has been signed by the Haryana government. Applied Materials is a leading material engineering solution provider. This MoU is about solar skill training and thereby increasing the use of solar energy in the state. The Chief Minister said is planning to create world class infrastructure in Haryana.
