Facts about Delhi-Lucknow Tejas Express | Fusion - WeRIndia

The Delhi-Lucknow Tejas Express would be started in the next month and IRCTC is all set for its launch.

Various premium features are introduced by the Railways.

Here are some interesting features of Delhi-Lucknow Tejas Express:

• The train will run six days a week, except on Tuesdays.
• The timings of the train are not yet finalized.
• However, it is proposed to depart from Delhi at 4:30 p.m. and reach Lucknow at 10:45 p.m.
• In the return journey, it will depart at 6:10 a.m. from Lucknow and reach the Capital at 12:25 p.m.
• Passengers will be offered free rail travel insurance of ₹25 lakh.
• They also have luggage pick up and drop off service, taxi and hotel booking service on payment basis.
• The luggage of passengers will be picked up from their home to their seats and from their seats to their destination by paying a specific amount. The luggage will be insured.
• No concessions or duty passes allowed on these trains.
• All people including children above the age of 5 are charged full fare.
• Dynamic pricing method is used. However, the price will be competitive against the fares of the taxi, bus or flights on the same route.
• No Tatkal quota is available. Passengers can book their tickets 60 days before the journey unlike 120 days of booking for other trains in the Railways network.
• The train will also have a chair car and passengers can book group tickets on first-cum- first serve basis.
• 78 seats in one AC chair car will be available for a group booking.
• The group bookings should be made at least three days before the date of journey. This facility will be available online.
• Resting room facility at Lucknow station and executive lounge facility at New Delhi Railway station are also available.
• Passengers will be served free coffee and tea through vending machines.
• Water is provided on demand through RO machines.
• Meals will be served by the staff.
