Suspected terror module vehicle found at University Lot in Faridabad

A vehicle connected to the terror investigation into the car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort has been located in Faridabad.

According to the Faridabad Police, a suspicious Maruti Brezza with Haryana registration was found parked in the parking lot of Al Falah University on Thursday.

The vehicle is believed to have links to the suspected “white-collar” terror module uncovered by the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

The university complex was alerted after investigators traced the car, which reportedly belongs to Dr Shaheen Saeed, one of the accused in the module case.

The police stated that other vehicles on the campus are also being inspected and ownership details verified.

Earlier in the week, investigators found another vehicle, a red Ford EcoSport, in Khandawali village in Faridabad.

That car was inspected by a bomb-disposal squad, and the person who parked it was detained and handed over to the Delhi Police.

It is now believed the suspects had procured three cars to transport vehicle-borne IEDs.

On Monday, a white Hyundai i20 exploded near the Red Fort Metro station, killing 13 people and injuring several others.

The blast occurred soon after authorities busted an interstate terror module with links to the banned outfits Jaish‑e‑Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat‑ul‑Hind in Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

The module included professional-degree holders, including doctors, and authorities seized about 2,900 kg of suspected explosive materials during raids.

The discovery of the Brezza at the university parking lot underscores the scale of the investigation and the network being probed.

The vehicle’s registration, parking location on campus and connections to university-affiliated individuals are now part of the evidence being assembled by investigators.

Authorities have ramped up checks at campuses, vehicle sales outlets, and student accommodations.

As the probe continues, police have issued directives to all second-hand car dealers in the Delhi-NCR region to verify buyers’ identities and previous ownership details.

The investigation remains ongoing, and further arrests or recoveries may follow in the coming days.
