Prime Minister launches National SC/ST Hub
In order to support Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and uplift them, Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday launched national hub for SC and ST in Ludhiana.
The national hub scheme was mainly designed for the benefit of SC ad ST to promote entrepreneurship among them. It mainly works to strengthen the market access for them, improving their capacity, and help them to know about the best practices of industry and to take the support of finance schemes.
Another scheme is also unveiled by PM named zero defect zero effect scheme (Z-effect). This scheme is aimed to support entrepreneurs and MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises) with necessary Z-certificate, tax rebates and other benefits.
Narendra Modi at the National MSME awards ceremony stated that the entrepreneurship among SCs and STs is to be encouraged to benefit all and fulfill the dreams of youth. The Awards ceremony was organized by MSME Ministry which was headed by Kalraj Mishra. Modi was the chief guest at the ceremony.
PM emphasized the need for creating entrepreneurship among Dalit community for their financial stability. Entrepreneurship also helps with the country’s development. He also stated that self-employment can help them rise economically. Government’s ‘Stand-Up India’ scheme is intended to boost self-employment among SC and ST community and women.
PM assured to improve the MSME sector by taking all the required steps to promote their growth. MSME sector is vital for the growth of country as it contributes to more than one third of country’s GDP. Nearly 11 crore people are employed in this sector.
Modi asked citizens to target the global market by maintaining quality standards. He showed the example of Khadi. Khadi was once meant for the needs of country which now became a fashion trend not just in the nation but all over the world. He added that there are many opportunities in the world and India should make use of them.
