Pakistan tries to shift blame on India?
On Thursday, India released statement regarding the drone Pakistan shot down and made allegations that the drone belonged to India. The Indian statement clearly stated that the drone was a Chinese make which is easily available. It was further added in the statement that this is an attempt for Pakistan to shift the blame for ceasefire violations in Jammu and Kashmir.
Foreign Secretary S. Jaishankar stated that they have analyzed the images and found that the drone is like a Chinese drone and the model is easily available. He added that it’s not of Indian style, nor does it have any similarities to the unmanned aerial vehicle category of Indian inventory. In the past four days, there are a minimum of six violations of the 2003 ceasefire by Pakistan.
Jaishankar stated that during the incidents on the Indio-Pak border, a Border security force personnel was injured due to sniper fire on Wednesday. After the sniper attack there was an attack with projectile weapons and mortar shells.
When there was mortar shells attack on a village in Akhnoor on Wednesday, the director general of Border security force tried to contact his counterpart across the border but there was no response.
After that, India tried to contact Pakistan high commissioner Abdul Basit in New Delhi as well as Indian high commissioner in Islamabad who was to contact the Pakistan foreign secretary there.
The report given by Pakistan stated that the firing was initiated by Indian troops and an Indian drone was brought down by Pakistan. This statement has been denied in the Indian statement.
