New Additions in the Republic Day Parade

India is going to celebrate its 68 Republic Day on January 26.

A grand Parade takes place as part of Republic Day celebrations held in Nation’s capital, Delhi.

It is the largest event in India’s Republic Day celebrations and a major attraction of the nation.

The Parade has several events. Some of them are unique.

One of them is camel mounted Border Security Force contingent. India is the only country to have camel mounted military force in the world.

The Republic Day Parade exhibits the capability of India’s defense, social and cultural heritage.

After a gap of 3 years Delhi is making its entry into the Parade with its tableau and Model School to reveal changes made in government schools and betterment in the education system.

This year parade will have some additions.

The light fighter jet of India Tejas which is developed indigenously for Indian Air force and Navy will be presented in this Parade.

Tejas is a single seat and light fighter jet developed jointly by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).

The tableau of Lakshdweep Island will be in the Parade after 23 years. It depicts the unseen destinations that are not explored by tourists in the island.

Each year India is inviting its Chief Guest from other countries.

This year, Crown Prince of United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has been invited to be the Chief Guest in the Republic Day celebrations.

The marching contingent by the armed forces of United Arab Emirates will be another attraction in this Republic Day Parade.

There will be spectacular biking stunts by soldiers in the Republic Day Parade.

These will be performed by armed forces before the grand finale of the event. It is an annual tradition.
