India-France relations improve, 14 agreements signed

The new French President, Emmanuel Macron, is currently paying a visit to India.

Macron held a bilateral with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the two of them have signed 14 agreements between the two countries.

Modi and Macron have both said that they want to strengthen the ties between India and France.

India was the first ally for France in the South Pacific, and it has been the entry point for France into the region.

Macron has said that he wants France to be the entry point for India into Europe just as India was for France in the South Pacific.

Macron also said how important it is to keep stability in the Indian Ocean, since it is important for the stability of the whole region.

He also said that he stands with India for the free navigation of the Indo-Pacific.

Macron also stated that French and Indian companies have signed contracts worth 13 billion euros, which will greatly strengthen the economic ties between France and India.

He said that India is France’s priority and always has been.

Macron also met with Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj, where they talked about enhancing the strategic partnership between the two countries in trade, investment, defense, culture, education, and more.

Soon, Modi and Macron will co-chair the founding conference of the International Solar Alliance (ISA), an initiative launched by Modi and the French President on the sidelines of the 2015 Paris climate conference.

This will be a significant meeting, since the United States has recently pulled out of the Paris accord.

Modi and Macron will also visit Mirzapur, where they will inaugurate a 100 MW solar power plant.

The leaders of both countries are eager to strengthen the ties between India and France, which will provide new political, economic, and defense opportunities for both nations.
