India asserts strong anti-terror stance through Operation Sindoor
At the 23rd NSG Counter-Terror Seminar in Delhi, Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai spoke about Operation Sindoor.
He said it showed India’s strength and determination. He added that India will give a strong reply to any threat to its sovereignty.
He said the operation sent a clear message to the world. India will not tolerate any act of terrorism.
He remarked that the country had shown the world that anyone daring to challenge India would no longer retain the power to do so.
Rai emphasised that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Indian government had shown no hesitation in allocating political will or resources in the fight against terrorism.
He referred to this approach as the hallmark of a new India, one that maintains an unshakable policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism.
According to him, incidents like the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam had not weakened the nation but had instead strengthened its collective determination.
He also stated that Operation Sindoor had made it clear that India would respond to terror attacks on its soil with courage and efficiency, adding that the international community had now witnessed India’s commitment.
While the country has always supported peace and dialogue, Rai indicated that any provocation or threat to its sovereignty would be met with firm resistance and defeat of hostile intentions.
NSG Director General Brighu Srinivasan, who inaugurated the seminar, spoke about the National Security Guard’s contributions during Operation Sindoor.
He noted that NSG personnel had played a vital role in neutralising a drone carrying explosives near the Jammu airport.
He also shared that the NSG had recently collaborated with state police and the Railway Protection Force in a counter-terror exercise on railways in Jammu, and that train intervention drills would be expanded in the future.
Additionally, the NSG chief mentioned that the force had conducted a security audit of inland water tourist liners and had carried out anti-hijack drills on cruise vessels operating on the Ganga and Brahmaputra rivers.
The seminar aims to strengthen cooperation among national and international agencies.
Delegations from over 17 countries, including the US, Russia, Japan, Israel, and Germany, participated, along with senior officials from Indian police forces, CAPFs, the Army, and intelligence agencies.
The event reinforced India’s message to the global community: its commitment to national security is firm, forward-looking, and grounded in collaboration and innovation.
