India strikes back: Operation Sindoor shows military might
Tensions flared along the India-Pakistan border after India launched Operation Sindoor, targeting terror camps deep inside Pakistan.
This bold move followed the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives.
India blamed terror groups operating from Pakistan and responded with precision and strength.
In a multi-pronged offensive, the Indian armed forces destroyed nine terror camps linked to Jaish-e-Mohammad and Lashkar-e-Taiba.
These camps were used for training terrorists like Ajmal Kasab and David Headley. At least 100 terrorists were eliminated, according to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
The strikes began shortly after midnight and showcased India’s ability to carry out deep, coordinated attacks.
As proof, the government released visual evidence through a press briefing. Two women officers presented clear visuals showing 100% precision hits on terror targets.
Pakistan retaliated with heavy artillery and mortar shelling along the LoC, killing 16 civilians.
India responded again, this time with technology. Using Israeli HARPY drones, Indian forces neutralised Pakistani air defence systems in Lahore, Sialkot, and Karachi.
The Chinese-made HQ-9 missile system was also destroyed, leaving Pakistan defenceless in key zones.
Pakistan attempted to strike back, targeting 15 Indian military sites across Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Punjab, and Gujarat.
However, India’s S-400 ‘Sudarshan Chakra’ air defence system intercepted all incoming threats, preventing any damage.
Pakistan, on the back foot, claimed civilian casualties and launched a disinformation campaign, alleging five Rafales were downed. These claims were quickly debunked by Indian authorities.
Amid rising tensions, the US advised its citizens in Lahore to evacuate or take shelter. Pakistan began evacuating areas near Lahore airport, indicating panic and disarray.
India maintained its stance. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri made it clear that de-escalation is Pakistan’s choice.
India, he said, only responded to terrorism. As Operation Sindoor continues, India’s message is clear: acts of terror will meet overwhelming force.
