Government wants to link every town by rail | Fusion - WeRIndia

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has described that railways are the back bone of the nation. He stated that the center wants to connect every town in the country with a railway link. While inaugurating Hazaribagh town railway station and then flagging of Hazaribagh-Koderma DMU, Modi has stated at a public meeting that the railways are a very important for the development of country even economically.

The center has signed fresh MoUs with the government of Jharkhand to complete six major railway projects. This includes Koderma-Hazaribagh-Ranchi rail project. These projects would be completed by March 2017 and both Centre and state would provide funds on fifty-fifty basis, Modi said.

Modi has compared Jharkhand to Australia for having the same type of natural resources. He stated that if the state uses its natural resources properly, it would become the most developed state in the country.

“We are going to develop with the latest and modern technology and provide all amenities to passengers travelling by the trains. By modernising railways, we want to open more employment avenues for the unemployed,” Modi said.

Modi praised former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha for working hard right from the days of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government.
