Government bans movement of birds to prevent Bird Flu
In a bizarre move, the government of Madhya Pradesh has banned the movement of birds. This is done in response to the Bird Flu infection.
As the country is still suffering from the coronavirus, a new virus threat has come. It is Bird Flu. This caused major concern for many people and the government too.
To tackle the Bird Flu many control rooms have been set up. Their job is to monitor the preventive and control measures of State authorities regularly.
In the meanwhile, the government of Madhya Pradesh has taken a rather unorthodox move to fight bird flu. They imposed a ban on the movement of birds in certain areas. This ban will last for 3 months.
Based on a report by Times Now, the Madhya Pradesh Department of Animal Husbandry will be imposing a ban on avian species in certain areas. As incredible as it seems, the movement ban will be effective in certain villages in the districts of Mandsaur, Jhabua, Harda and Raisen.
Furthermore, an official gazette notification was released by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. It is regarding the sanitization process of various villages.
For the Village Rundipada Block Thandla District Jhabua, the date was 14 January 2021, for Village Khedha Block Sitamau District Mandsaur it was 18 January 2021.
19 January was the date for Village Rehatgaon Block Rehangaon District Harda and for Village Khamariya Gadhi Block Gairatganj District Raisen it is 24 January 2021.
The area within 10 kilometres of its radius will be known as ‘controlled area’. Avian species will be prevented, controlled and eradicated to prevent the bird flu.
This ban prohibits the movement of any avian species in any place within or outside the area. Holding a fair, exhibition or other activities related to birds is also not allowed in this area for three months from the date of sanitization.
