Rainy season affects your skin severely. The risk of fungal and bacterial infections is also more in this season. Hence, it is difficult to take care of your skin in monsoon.

Below are certain tips to protect your skin from infections and keep it glow during monsoon:

• Coconut oil has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties to protect your skin from fungal or bacterial infections. Warm coconut oil on a low flame and massage it on your face and neck. You can wipe it off with a tissue after 1 or 2 hours. Or wash your face after a few hours.
• Olive oil is rich in phenols to protect your skin from free radicals. It rejuvenates your skin. Mix one tablespoon olive oil and ½ tablespoon sugar. Apply the mixture on your face for a couple of minutes. Leave it for 5-10 minutes. Then wash your face with warm water.
• Almond oil nourishes your skin. It protects your skin from free radicals and thereby infections. Wash your face and allow it to dry. Massage a few drops of almond oil on your face and neck. You can leave it for some hours. Then wash your face and neck.
• Rosewater helps cleanse the skin due to its astringent properties. Clean your face with a gentle facial cleanser before applying rose water. Take a few drops of rose water on a cotton ball. Then, swipe it gently all over your face.
• Neem has antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties. It protects your skin from all types of infections. Boil some after by adding a handful of neem leaves. Then, strain the mixture. Use this neem-infused water to wash your face.
• Sunflower oil has many antioxidants. It invigorates your skin. Take a few drops of sunflower oil on cotton balls. Swipe it on your face and neck. Leave it for a few hours before washing your face.
