Herbal remedies for eye strain
People who work with computers might often find themselves having an irritation in the eyes. Excessive glaring at computers and laptops can cause problems like redness in eyes and irritation.
Continuous glaring at a computer screen or a phone screen can cause the muscles in the eyes to get strained. Here are some Ayurvedic remedies for digital eye strain.
Amla
Amlas are rich in antioxidants. Eating half a teaspoon of amla powder twice in a day every day can help in relieving eye strain.
Bhringraj
Bhringraj can be applied in the form of a paste or oil over the eyes. It can help improve eye vision and reduce strain.
Black pepper
A powder of black pepper mixed along with honey can help in improving and recovering the vision. It also reduces strain of the eyes.
Ghee
Ghee is known to be rich in vitamin A. Applying ghee over the eyes can help get relief from watery eyes.
Garlic
Garlic is commonly used in many Ayurvedic medicines. This is because it has many helpful properties. If you are suffering from digital eye strain, you can use crushed juice of garlic. It also helps in bettering your eye sight.
Petals of Rose
Roses also have many medicinal properties. You can crush the rose petals and extract the juice from it. This juice can be consumed to fight off eye strain and other eye problems. It can also be used externally on your eye to find relief from eye irritation and redness.
Licorice
Licorice can be quite effective in soothing your eyes. Mix half a teaspoon of licorice powder with cow’s milk. Consuming this mix twice a day can help relieve eye strain and improve falling vision.
Triphala
Consuming a teaspoon of triphala powder along with a teaspoon of honey every night can help provide relief from eye strain.
