Over the recent years, there has been a surprising increase in young Indians who are acquiring lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, high cholesterol, blood pressure issues, thyroid, and cancer.

In fact, the company GOQii, a virtual fitness coaching program based in California, revealed in a report that about 9.4 percent of people are suffering from high cholesterol, 7.7 percent are suffering from diabetes, and 6.76 percent are suffering from thyroid.

This increase can be due to many different causes, but there are a certain number of more common ones which stand out in particular.

The CEO and founder of GOQii, Vishal Gondal, reports that several disruptive lifestyle changes in the country have affected this percentage increase.

Some of them include an increased lack of exercise, more erratic habits of eating and eating patterns, increases in higher stress levels, and poor patterns of sleeping times.

These problems are only some of the key ones which are causing this increase in lifestyle epidemics as well.

There are some certain trends in the increases in these long term diseases, such as how men are more typically found with diabetes, cholesterol problems, and cardiac problems, while women were more typically found to be having issues with a low blood pressure and thyroid.

Furthermore, certain recent surveys showed that the average Indian person currently only gets 6.72 hours of sleep per night, which is less than the healthy 7 to 9 hours of sleep that should be gotten every night.

This is a serious concern for about 31.3 percent of the entire Indian population, and compounded with the issues of a lack of exercise and increase in stress, the health levels of many young Indians are currently failing.

These results were taken from a survey of one hundred thousand individuals from across the entire country.
