Paytm to deliver products in two hours | Fusion - WeRIndia

Paytm, a Mobile payment service has recently entered the e-commerce sector. In order to grab the attention of people and fight the heavy competition, they are coming with a new service which will help customers receive their goods just two hours after placing the order.

In order to launch the new service, Paytm is planning an investment of Rs.100 crore. They are calling this service the ‘Fastest Expert Delivery’. The initial plan of the company is to deliver mobiles under the new system.

When the deliver is made, customers will also get a demonstration of the features of the product. Paytm Associate Vice President Amit Bagaria stated that they are launching the Fastest Expert Delivery (FED) programme with The MobileStore for now. Customers will be able to buy mobile devices and have them delivered along with an expert of the product in just two hour of getting the order.

He added that the company will be spending Rs.100 crore in the next six months in order to make the new program popular.

For the future, Paytm is planning to bring other products like washing machine, refrigerator and air conditioners under this programme.

They aim to increase the trust of customers towards online business with the help of this program. The programme will also give business for traditional retailers, says Bagaria. Using this model, the company is expecting to generate and extra revenue of over Rs.4,000 crore per year.

Chinese e-commerce firm Alibaba group is supporting Paytym which recently entered the elite group of startups with a $1 billion valuation.

This year, Paytm has also got the title sponsorship rights for India’s international home matches from BCCI for four years.
