Special journey of faith: Tripura to Ayodhya on Aastha special trains
In an initiative that bridges faith and accessibility, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha recently flagged off the third Aastha Special train from Agartala. The train enables devotees to embark on a spiritual journey to Ayodhya.
This gesture, aimed at facilitating the pilgrimage to the newly inaugurated Ram Mandir, underscores a significant moment of devotion and cultural unity.
Expressing gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this initiative, CM Saha highlighted the effort to connect people from Tripura and beyond with one of Hinduism’s most revered sites.
The launch of this special train service from Agartala marks a milestone in the state’s commitment to supporting religious tourism. Besides, it also reflects the broader vision of making spiritual journeys more accessible to people across India.
With the inauguration of the Ram Mandir, a dream that lingered for over 500 years, the demand for visiting Ayodhya has seen a remarkable surge.
Recognizing this, the Indian Railways introduced more than 200 Aastha Special trains from various parts of the country to Ayodhya. Each train is equipped with 20 sleeper coaches accommodating around 1,400 pilgrims.
The significance of this initiative extends beyond mere travel convenience; it is a testament to the government’s dedication to nurturing India’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage.
CM Saha, during the flagging-off ceremony attended by key political figures and pilgrims, emphasized the importance of this journey not just as a personal quest for divine blessings but also as a collective prayer for the well-being of Tripura and its citizens.
The Aastha Special Train initiative represents a thoughtful response to the spiritual aspirations of countless devotees, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout their sacred journey.
With the first train having departed from Secunderabad on February 5, carrying 1,346 devotees, the initiative has been met with enthusiasm and gratitude.
As more pilgrims from across the nation set off to Ayodhya, these trains symbolize a journey of faith, unity, and devotion, reinforcing the spiritual fabric of India.
