The National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), Goa, has announced a recruitment drive for 24 Technical Assistant posts.

This recruitment offers an excellent opportunity for candidates holding a Diploma or B.Sc. degree to join one of India’s premier ocean research institutes under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).

The recruitment is for the post of Technical Assistant with a total of 24 vacancies.

The pay scale is as per the 7th Central Pay Commission, at Pay Level-06 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400), with approximate monthly emoluments of ₹64,740. The application process started on November 3, 2025, and will close on December 2, 2025.

Educational Qualification (any of the following):

• Diploma in Electronics / Electronics and Communication / Electrical and Electronics / Computer Hardware and Networking, with at least 3 years full-time with 60% marks and 2 years relevant experience.
• Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering with similar duration and experience requirements.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) with 60% marks and 1 year of relevant experience or professional qualification.

The maximum age limit for applicants is 28 years as of December 2, 2025.

However, age relaxations will be provided as per the Government of India rules for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen categories.

Candidates will be selected through a screening process, followed by a Trade or Skill Test and/or a Written Examination, as per the recruitment rules of CSIR.
