The man followed by Modi himself on Twitter
The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi is probably one of the most followed accounts on twitter. With millions of followers, it is really not special when someone follows Modi’s account.
However, imagine Modi following the account of a normal citizen; that would be very surprising. So, imagine the surprise that Akash Jain must have gotten when he woke up and saw that his twitter account is now being followed by Narendra Modi.
Akash is an entrepreneur from Bengaluru. One day, he posted a tweet talking about the initiative he took and putting the Swachh Bharat logo on the wedding card of his sister.
That is all it took to change his level of fame. He posted that wedding card and tagged Prime Minister Modi on twitter.
After that, he got retweets from several Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders appreciating him. But soon after that, the Prime Minister himself retweeted his post and followed him back!
Akash tweeted that receiving appreciation from ‘Member of Parliament’ feels great and he feels really honored to be followed back by Modi.
Talking about the incident, Akash said that his father has been following the Swachh Bharat initiative of the Prime Minister Modi since a long time.
When his sister’s wedding was planned, his father wanted to do something related to the initiative to promote awareness. So, they decided to use the weeding card as a medium to promote the clean India drive.
Akash says that he randomly shared the picture and tagged the prime minister without thinking much about it. But he never expected that the PM would retweet it and follow him back.
Talking about his feeling, he says that one of the most followed person on twitter is following him. He says he cannot ask for something bigger than this.
