Restoring lost photos from smartphones
Sometimes we lose precious data from our smartphones. It could be because of an accident or some glitch. However, you don’t need to worry. There are ways to get back lost data from smartphones. Let us take a look at ways to recover lost data from Android and iOS smartphones.
For your iPhone
In your iPhone, open the default photo gallery. Go to the ‘moments’ section and look for ‘Albums’ at the bottom. In there, select the ‘Recently deleted’ option. Open the folder and you will find your lost photos. iOS automatically stores deleted photos in this folder for 30 days. After 30 days, the photos are permanently deleted if the user doesn’t save them back. So, any photo you have lost accidentally can be restored in this time.
Ensure your microSD card is working fine. If the card is damaged, you won’t be able to recover photos from it.
For your Android
Download Android Data Recovery software. You can get a free trial version. The software can be used to recover your lost photos. Before you use this app, make sure you have enough battery on your phone.
You should connect your Android phone to your PC. Run the app and let it detect your phone. If your phone is not recognized, it means that you need to install a driver.
Once you connect your phone, you will get the option to scan your phone. Choose what type of files you want scanning. Once the scanning is done, you will get the list of files that were deleted. You can preview the files and then recover the lost photos using the recover option.
While recovering is always an option, it is better to be safe than sorry. Always back up your files regularly to prevent loss of important photos. Sometimes, recovery options might fail you. Good backup will always save you trouble.
