Vande Bharat to replace bullet train on Mumbai-Ahmedabad route
In a major shift, the Railway Ministry has announced that a semi-high-speed Vande Bharat train will run between Mumbai and Ahmedabad instead of the proposed Japanese bullet train. This will be the first Vande Bharat to operate at a top speed of 250 kmph using fully indigenous technology.
