The IIT Madras Summer Fellowship 2025 is now open for applications. The term for this internship is two months.

It provides students with hands-on research experience at one of India’s top institutes.

Interested candidates can apply online at their website before February 28, 2025.

The fellowship is designed for students from various fields who wish to explore academic research. These include engineering, management, sciences, and humanities.

Eligible applicants include:

• Undergraduate students (BE/B.Tech/B.Sc Engg) in their third year.
• Integrated/Dual Degree (M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc) students in their third or fourth year.
• First-year M.Sc/M.A/MBA students with an exceptional academic record. It includes top university ranks, research papers, awards, project work, or any other such thing.

Note: Students from IIT Madras are not eligible for this program.

Here are the details of the programme duration and benefits:

• The fellowship runs from May 19, 2025, to July 18, 2025.
• Selected candidates will receive a stipend of ₹15,000 per month for a maximum of two months.
• The amount will be adjusted if the internship is shorter. Hostel and mess facilities will be available on a paid basis, subject to availability.

• Upload the required documents.
• Log in and select your preferred department.
• Submit the application and save the confirmation page.
• There is no need to send hard copies to IIT Madras.
• Applicants can track their status online using their registered email ID and password.

Candidates must upload a bonafide certificate issued by the Head of their Institution to confirm their student status.
