Supreme Court Law Clerk Recruitment 2025
The Supreme Court of India (SCI) has announced the recruitment of Law Clerk-cum-Research Associates for the 2025-2026 term.
The apex court offers 90 vacancies under a short-term contractual assignment.
The online application process started on 14 January 2025 and will close on 7 February 2025.
Selected candidates will assist the Supreme Court with legal research and other related tasks, playing a key role in supporting judicial processes.
To be eligible, applicants must hold a law degree from a recognized institution in India.
Candidates in the final year of a 5-year integrated law course or the third year of a 3-year law course may also apply, provided they complete their degree before joining.
Strong research and writing skills, as well as familiarity with legal databases such as e-SCR, Manupatra, and LexisNexis, are essential.
The age limit for applicants is between 20 and 32 years as of 7 February 2025.
The selection process is divided into three stages. First, candidates will take an objective Multiple Choice Question test to assess their legal knowledge, comprehension, and analytical skills.
Next, a subjective written exam will evaluate their ability to answer essay-type legal questions.
Finally, shortlisted candidates will undergo an interview to gauge their legal acumen and suitability for the position.
Applicants must submit their applications through the official Supreme Court website, and pay a ₹500 application fee online. Offline applications will not be accepted.
The recruitment process also includes a written examination on 9 March 2025, with an opportunity to raise objections to the answer key between 10 and 11 March 2025.
