Students who overcome all odds to crack JEE
JEE is one of the toughest exams to crack in the country. Providing a good environment, coaching and other essential things to students may also not guarantee a good score in the exams.
But, here are some inspiring students who cracked JEE against all odds.
What do you think if a student scores just 39 per cent marks in his 12th standard exams? Can you believe that he would study in an IIT? But, Rajiv Dandotiya achieved this. He is from a remote village in Rajasthan.
While he was studying his class 12, his teachers used to favor only those who would take private lessons from them. But, hailing from a poor family, Rajiv studied on his own and secured 39 per cent marks. He secured 5th rank in his class. This happened in the 1990s.
He studied hard to appear for the IIT-JEE and completed his degree from IIT Kharagpur. He finished his PhD from Sweden. Now, he is working as an Assistant General Manager in Denmark.
Satyam and Shivam Kumar cleared the JEE exam in their early teens. Satyam became the youngest student to crack the exam at the age of 12 years and Shivam achieved an All India Rank of 383 in this exam at the age of 15.
Shubham Chaurasia is a betel seller’s son. As his father could not afford to educate him after class 10, he studied with the help of a tuition class.
He was selected by Magadh Super 30 where he was given free food, lodging, and guidance for two years. Often, the senior students who left the institute would also help the current batch of students. He scored 99.56 per cent in JEE Main exam.
