Know about CBSE 12th Topper
Raksha Gopal, from the Amity International School in Noida, scored 99.6 percent as the Indian topper in the Central Board of Secondary Education, or CBSE, Class 12 examination of this year.
She scored perfect in English, Political Science, and Economics, and 99 percent in both Psychology and History.
However, there is more to her than just her grades, so here are some other interesting facts about Raksha that everyone should know.
• She is musically inclined, with her having completed five levels in the electric keyboard in an institute based in Delhi affiliated with the Trinity College of Music in London, England. She plays it to beat the stress of exams.
• She is also interested in learning new languages, having just completed a course in French and planning to next take up Spanish.
• Raksha did not take any tuitions or crash courses to help her ace this exam, but prepared like she would for any regular one. She insists on focusing of the quality of what one studies rather than the quantity.
• She is from Chennai, with her father being the Chief Finance Officer of the Gujarat Petroleum Corporation. Her parents did not put pressure on her and in fact encouraged her to take breaks in studying, and Gopal gives most of her credit to them as well as her elder sister, Prerna.
• While trying to log in online to find out her exam results along with a multitude of other ones, she got personal congratulations from Prakash Javadekar, the Minister of Union Human resource development, who called her accomplishments an inspiration for any child taking up humanities.
• She plans to take up on political science studies in the future, and any college which she selects for higher education will be proud to have such a splendid student among their ranks.
