A cyclist from Hyderabad has set out on an adventurous path to inspire physically challenged people all over the world. Aditya Mehta, who lost one of his legs in a road accident has accepted the challenge to ride across the world’s hardest and highest road. The cyclist Aditya Mehta has already won several medals internationally and is now starting on this mountain expedition for the first time.

In an accident, Aditya Mehta lost his right leg which was amputated above the knee. After the accident, he discovered cycling which turned into his life. Aditya has started cycling around Hyderabad at first. Then he rode from Hyderabad to Bangalore in the last 20 months. He rode over 25000kms in the past 20 months.

The cyclist now started off at Manali on Friday morning with a company of three persons who are his support team. He will cross two highest mountain passes of the world. The expedition that has begun will end at Khardung La which is at a height of 18,380 feet. This place is 40km beyond Leh. On August 15th he hoisted the Indian flag at Khardung La.

Aditya Mehta has stated that he took on this challenge to inspire the thousands of differently abled people across the world. He also means to raise funds to help them.
