YoRide app for intra-city transport needs - Fusion - WeRIndia

An app which would have all the transport options in a city including local buses and metro rail would be an idea app for many city commuters. Bengaluru-based startup Dhii Systems came up with a new app. It is aimed to be a single platform for all intra-city transportation requirements.

The app called, YoRide, provides all kind of booking facilities for rides on Ola, Uber, Fastrack, and Mega Cabs, along with multiple local car and bike rentals, and Zoom self-drive cars. The app also allows booking Jugnoo autorickshaws too.

The company will soon be launching information on public transport entities like Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) and Namma Metro.

YoRide was founded by Murali Tirupati, in 2014. It currently has more than 6000 users across Android and iOS platforms. The app gets more than 200 transactions every day. According to Murali the app does have a good amount of repeat usage from customers. He said that 60 percent of users are repeat users. The platform currently has more than 15 service providers across taxis, car rentals, auto rickshaws, and bike taxis.

With the YoRide app, one can get the availability of cabs around them. They even get a price comparison. Using the app, the user can make bookings on any platform, except Uber. In case of Uber, the user will be redirected to Uber app. If the user does not have the Uber app, the will be redirected to the Uber website. However, the app does show the availability of Uber. Bookings do not need any registration expect in case of Ola and Uber.

YoRide also partnered with BMTC, the government-owned local bus transport service. With that, users can even find local bus transport in the app. In the last two weeks, BMTC fitted GPS in all their 7000 buses. Around 50 lakh passengers travel through these buses every day.
