Now, hygiene has become one of the most vital things in the lives of people. People follow several hygiene practices to protect them against COVID-19. Among them, hand sanitization and disinfectant solutions are the most commonly used practices.

Some startups are turning them into their business opportunity while creating new solutions for disinfecting surfaces and other materials.

Log 9 Materials Pvt. Ltd. has come up with an innovative solution by launching its new product CoronaOven.

CoronaOven uses UV-C light to disinfect surfaces of various materials. Log 9 Materials Pvt. Ltd. is a Bengaluru based startup. It was founded by Akshay Singhal and Kartik Hajela. It is a graphene research and development startup and designs innovative products.

Now the company introduced CoronaOven, a disinfectant technology. It can permanently damage the RNA sequence of COVID-19.

Using UV-C light, it sanitizes the objects that are placed inside its chamber. These include grocery items, milk packets, electronic gadgets, masks, gloves, eCommerce packages etc.

CoronaOven has in-built UV lamps to disinfect the objects from all angles. This technology can kill all pathogens including coronavirus.

CoronaOven is slightly larger than a microwave oven. It can disinfect the items that are placed inside the chamber within 10 minutes.

It has been tested and verified at the laboratory of the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. The company gets the ICMR certification.

The founders say that there is no harm to objects that are placed inside the chamber for disinfection since it provides cold sanitization.

CoronaOven is available in three variants based on the number of products to be sanitized.

The 20 litres variant of CoronaOven is priced at ₹11,000 while the 23 litres variant is priced at ₹16,000.

So far, the company sold 1,500 CoronaOven machines.
