In a flavorful journey that began with reminiscing about his childhood travels, Manas Madhu has reshaped the banana chip landscape with his thriving venture, Beyond Snacks.

The company’s journey started with a simple mission: to make authentic, high-quality banana chips accessible across India, defying the limited options that once existed.

A Kerala native, Madhu found himself missing the familiar taste of banana chips during his journeys for education and work.

Fueled by a desire to make a difference and a deep-rooted passion for the food industry, he leaped into entrepreneurship after an enlightening encounter with an article on value addition in 2018.

Leaving his corporate role behind, Madhu embarked on his culinary adventure.

Beyond Snacks emerged as a trendsetter, offering an array of delectable flavours including desi masala, peri peri, salt and black pepper, hot and sweet chilli, sour cream onion and parsley, and classic salted.

These creative twists on the beloved traditional snack have captured the hearts and palates not only in Kerala but also throughout the nation.

The heart of Beyond Snacks lies in its commitment to sourcing the finest ingredients.

Madhu’s team procures the renowned nendran bananas from farmers across South Indian states, focusing on seasonal availability.

The bananas are transformed through a meticulous process of cleaning, cutting, and cooking in pure oil.

A unique selling point is the claim that these chips are devoid of cholesterol and trans fats, and they are packaged with utmost hygiene, untouched by human hands.

The response has been resounding, with Beyond Snacks securing a strong foothold in e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Big Basket, and India Mart, as well as in retail stores and supermarkets.

The brand’s reach extends beyond Indian borders, spanning the US, UAE, Qatar, Nepal, and Mauritius, with repeat customers highlighting the products’ popularity.

Notably, Madhu’s entrepreneurial spirit caught the attention of investors in the inaugural season of Shark Tank India.

He made history by securing a deal with Aman Gupta and Ashneer Grover, receiving ₹50 lakhs for a 2.5% equity stake.

The accolades didn’t stop there, as Beyond Snacks swiftly rose to become a top seller on Amazon, Flipkart, Jio Mart, and other leading platforms, boasting a remarkable monthly revenue of ₹1 crore.

Continuing their innovation, Beyond Snacks recently introduced a ₹22 chips packet, widening their consumer base.

The company also offers combo packs of all flavours and family-sized packs for each variant.

As Madhu and his team press on, their aspiration remains to revolutionise Kerala’s banana chips and metamorphose Beyond Snacks into a household name, one delectable chip at a time.
