We lose weight only on weekdays
In a recent study, it was revealed why people tend to lose weight in weekdays and gains over weekends. Brian Wansink from Cornell University states that people tend to go out and eat. He further added “Some indulging during weekends makes no harm but for successful weight loss, it is important to notice these rhythms and take steps to reverse the upward trends after the weekend,” The study was conducted with 80 adults in the age group of 25 to 62. It found that people who were slim lose more weight during the weekdays. The people were classified into three categories – weight losers, weight gainers, and weight maintainers.
Every morning before breakfast, the people were asked to check their weight. The aim of the study is to find out if the day of the week affects weight. The results were checked and there was clearly a fluctuation of increased weight after weekends. The lowest point of weight reached was found on Friday.
