The departed leader, inspirational teacher and the former president Dr APJ Abdul Kalam motivated millions of Indians. For many young people, Kalam is a guide while many others follow his words.

Srijan Pal Singh, who had worked with Dr. Kalam between the years 2009-12 and was there along with him in his journey to Shillong shared several memorable moments with public. In his words, he revealed that Dr Kalam would like to be remembered as a teacher rather than President, Scientist, Writer, Missile man, India 2020, Target 3 billion and many other titles people call him.

Many of Kalam’s dream projects are in operation to make his dream come true. One such example is MSL (Mobile Science Laboratory) vans in Bihar. These vans convey science knowledge to school children particularly in rural areas. The project was started in 2010 and currently there are three vans furnished with physics, chemistry and life sciences laboratories.

Several Indians are remembering their memorable moments with their beloved leader. They are going to Rameswaram to pay their last respects to him.
