Young innovator Aryan Singh receives National Bal Shakti Award

Aryan Singh, a 17-year-old prodigy from DCM Indira Gandhi Nagar, is making waves with his revolutionary AI-powered AgRobot, earning him the prestigious National Bal Shakti Award.

Aiming to empower farmers with affordable technology, Aryan’s innovation has already garnered more than 15 awards, including international accolades in 2020.

Hailing from a middle-class family, Aryan gives credit to SR Public School, where the Atal Tinkering Lab, established through NITI Aayog, played a pivotal role in shaping his vision.

A teacher, Omprakash Soni, served as his mentor, and the school provided initial funding for the AgRobot project.

Completed at a remarkably low cost of ₹50,000, Aryan’s AgRobot offers a cost-effective solution for farmers who would otherwise spend lakhs on similar machines in the market.

The device is equipped with AI capabilities, capable of traversing various terrains, from pits to flat fields, performing tasks ranging from sowing seeds to crop cutting.

Aryan, currently pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science at Bundi Government Engineering College, is determined to bridge the gap between technology and agriculture.

He envisions supporting farmers with affordable and efficient tools, making AgTech accessible to every farmer.

The AgRobot is not just a farming companion; it boasts an upgraded security system that operates without internet connectivity.

Priced at a mere ₹800, this system alerts farmers about potential threats like insects, locusts, or animals entering their fields. Additionally, a camera casting feature has been incorporated in the upgraded version for enhanced surveillance.

Notably, Aryan Singh is the sole recipient of the National Bal Shakti Award in Science and Innovation, a testament to his groundbreaking contributions to Agri Tech.

His previous achievements include creating the Mera Saathi app, earning him the distinction of being the brand ambassador for mygov.in.

With a strong commitment to his community, Aryan envisions reaching every farmer and making a meaningful impact on agricultural practices.

His journey from a young innovator to a National Bal Shakti Awardee showcases the potential of youth-led initiatives in shaping the future of technology and agriculture.
