Bondili Maruthi Ram Singh, a Mathematics enthusiast from Poranki village, has dedicated his life to making the subject more accessible and enjoyable for students.

With unparalleled skills and a passion for teaching, he has inspired thousands of learners and educators across India.

Singh’s journey began early, guided by his mother, Bharathi Bai, who introduced him to arithmetic basics.

At five, his fascination deepened under the mentorship of Burra Padmanabha Sharma, who taught him Vedic Mathematics.

His father, Krishna Singh, provided unwavering support, nurturing his interest alongside his formal education.

Singh holds a Master’s in Commerce and a Bachelor’s in Education and worked as a Social Studies teacher in private schools in the beginning.

His remarkable abilities included the following: Solving 10-digit calculations, reciting multiplication tables up to 200, and determining calendar dates instantly. All these skills soon established him as an expert in Vedic Mathematics.

A corporate school recognised his talent and created a department specifically for him. Hence, he could train students there in Vedic Mathematics nationwide.

Singh’s expertise has extended to university seminars, including at NIT Agartala. He trained many government teachers in advanced techniques.

Driven by a desire to share his knowledge, Singh has conducted workshops and mentored students and teachers across India.

He offered free sessions in government schools in many areas, introducing disadvantaged students to Vedic Mathematics. His efforts earned him the prestigious Swana Shri Award in 2018.

Singh transformed over 50,000 students’ attitudes toward Mathematics and trained an equal number of teachers with innovative, paper-free methods.

As the former principal of one of the schools in Andhra Pradesh, he emphasized values-based education and competitive skills.

Advocating for integrating Vedic Mathematics into school curricula, Singh has met with leaders like Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh to discuss its benefits.

He envisions expanding his work nationwide, aiming to showcase India’s mathematical genius to the world.
